Refund & Cancellation Policy

The Gentle Path Inward™
Last updated: 6 October 2026

At The Gentle Path Inward™, we understand that circumstances can change. This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, refunds and credits are handled for appointments, programs, courses, events and products.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Individual Appointments

This section applies to individual services including Root Cause Therapy and other one-to-one wellbeing services.

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.

Appointments cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled without a cancellation fee.

For cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or where a client does not attend an appointment, the session fee may be charged or, where the appointment forms part of a prepaid package, the session may be counted as used.

We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur. These situations may be considered individually at our discretion.

If The Gentle Path Inward™ needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will offer an alternative appointment. If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged for a prepaid session, you may request a refund for that session.

2. Multi-Session Packages

Packages, including Root Cause Therapy packages, are purchased as a structured series of sessions.

If you decide not to continue a package after it has commenced, please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

Any refund or credit for unused sessions will depend on the circumstances, services already provided, any package discount applied and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Where a refund is agreed for a discounted package after some sessions have already been used, the value of services already provided may be calculated at the applicable individual-session rate before determining the remaining refund.

This does not affect any remedy you are entitled to under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Courses, Workshops and Group Programs

For courses, workshops and group programs operated directly by The Gentle Path Inward™, cancellations made 7 days or more before the commencement date may receive a refund or, where available, a transfer or credit toward a future program.

For cancellations made less than 7 days before commencement, a refund may not be available. Where possible, we may offer a transfer or credit at our discretion.

Once a course or program has commenced, refunds for change of mind are generally not provided.

If recordings, downloadable materials, workbooks, online course content or other digital resources have already been supplied or accessed, this may also be taken into account when considering a refund request.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Corporate Wellbeing Programs

Corporate workshops and wellbeing programs may involve preparation, program design, venue arrangements, travel or time specifically reserved for an organisation.

Cancellation and rescheduling terms for corporate engagements will therefore be specified in the relevant proposal, quotation or service agreement.

Where The Gentle Path Inward™ has incurred reasonable costs in preparing for an engagement that is subsequently cancelled, those costs may be taken into account in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable law.

5. Events Booked Through Third-Party Platforms

Some courses, workshops or events may be booked through third-party booking platforms.

Where applicable, the cancellation and refund conditions displayed for the particular event at the time of booking will apply in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Any fees charged directly by a third-party booking provider may also be subject to that provider’s terms.

6. Books and Physical Products

Please choose physical products carefully, as we are not required to provide a refund simply because you change your mind.

If a book or other physical product supplied directly by The Gentle Path Inward™ arrives damaged, is faulty, is materially different from its description or otherwise does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us so that an appropriate remedy can be arranged.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, this may include replacement, repair or refund.

Where a book or product is purchased from another retailer or platform, refund and return requests should generally be made through the retailer from which it was purchased.

7. Digital Products and Downloadable Resources

Because digital products can generally be accessed immediately, refunds for change of mind are not normally offered once a digital product, downloadable resource or online content has been supplied or accessed.

If there is a technical problem, the product is materially different from its description, or it otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us so we can work with you to resolve the issue.

8. If We Cancel a Course, Workshop or Program

If The Gentle Path Inward™ cancels a paid course, workshop or program and does not provide a suitable alternative, participants will be offered an appropriate refund, transfer or credit.

If an event needs to be rescheduled, participants will be advised of the new arrangements and available options.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Depending on the circumstances, if goods or services fail to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as having a problem rectified, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation.

This policy does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to you under Australian Consumer Law.
